Labradorite is a feldspar that is known for its iridescence. It glows with an unusual
fire. Labradorite is in the same family of stones as Moonstone known as the feldspar group. Labradorite grows as layers and layers of crystals that all sandwich together in slabs. This is what
creates the incredible play of color and light that gemologists call adularescence. The lines between the crystal plates are called cleavage lines. It's important to note that the cleavage lines
that occur between the layers of crystal are usually visible. On larger stones, they can be obvious and may appear to be actual cracks in the stone. It's extremely rare to find a Labradorite
without visible lines. Please note that the lines are not cracks they are a part of the Labradorite stone. It is even possible to feel them with your finger.
The Labradorite is carefully bezel set in a sterling and pure silver ring setting. It is decorated with hand made embellishments. The Labradorite ring is a Size 6 and cannot be sized.
