Custom made Evil Eye Earrings- Green Designer Evil Eye Earrings Please note: these are custom made to order. Turn around time is 4-6 weeks. Using the technique cloisonne enamel makes the eye portion of these earrings. It entails carefully bending pure silver ribbons of wire and fusing them to a pure silver surface with clear enamel. The following layers of enamel are colored and can take up to 20 times and firings in a kiln. After all the firings are complete the enamel eyes get sanded down so the wires are flush to the glass. The next step is the eyes get sanded to a high polish, which gives a gorgeous effect of depth and translucency to the glass enamel. After that they are bezel set in carefully handcrafted sterling silver and 14 karat gold settings. The technique is quite labor intensive but the results are a magical beautiful piece of finely handcrafted jewelry. Reference: 25848
